„65 75 140“ – eine ungewöhnliche Festschrift des Bärenreiter-Verlages anlässlich des 65. und 75. Geburtstags des Verlegerehepaars Prof. Barbara Scheuch-Vötterle und Leonhard Scheuch.

76 Beiträge von Komponisten, Autoren und Kulturschaffenden aus den verschiedensten Bereichen. Keinem festen Satzspiegel folgend. Jeder Beitrag ist so individuell und braucht – entsprechend seinem Inhalt – seine eigene Form. Form folgt Inhalt, nicht andersrum. Kleine Anekdoten, Aufsätze, Geschichten über gemeinsam geteilte Erlebnisse – persönliche, musikalische, kulinarische. Sie zeigen das Verlegerehepaar als Mensch und nicht nur als geschäftliche Funktionsträger.

Das Bild des roten Fadens lag nah. Nur wie lässt sich ein roter Faden gestalterisch umsetzen? ... ein rotes Lesebändchen ... aber dieser Faden wäre zu kurz ... Das Lesebändchen verlängert auf 3,5 Meter und damit die Festschrift umwickelt! Ein roter Faden also, der erkennbar die unterschiedlichen Beiträge umschließt. Ein roter Faden, der sich durch das Leben des Verlegerehepaars zieht. Viele Fäden, die symbolisch für Personen und Beziehungen stehen. Viele Fäden bilden ein Netz, einen tragfähigen Grund, der die beruflichen Leistungen und Erfolge erst ermöglicht.

“65 75 140” – Bärenreiter-Verlag has published an unusual festschrift, on the occasion of the 65th and 75th birthdays of the publisher duo, Prof. Barbara Scheuch-Vötterle and her husband Leonhard Scheuch.

76 contributions, from a very varied group of composers, authors and creative artists. There is no set content, with the result that the contributions are all very individual and require their own form – depending on the content. Form follows content, not the other way round. Short stories, essays, stories about shared experiences – which may be personal, musical or culinary. They celebrate the publisher duo both as individuals and not only as office holders in the company.

The image of a red thread seemed appropriate. How, though, could a red thread be presented? ... as a red book mark ... but that would be too short ... The bookmark was lengthened to 3.5 meters so that it could run all the way round the festschrift! That way, it was a red thread that could hold the different contributions together in a very visible way. A red thread, running through the lives of this couple. Many threads, symbolising people and relationships. Many threads, that interlock to form a network, the sustainable basis that has enabled them to achieve so much in their professional capacity.
